The fit is phenomenal.
I thought the fabric would be let’s say ultra heavy duty. It’s just heavy duty. I wore it to work the other day and it fit snug enough to wear under my hard hat without any bunching up causing pressure points. The adjustable pull strings allow for a very custom fit. Snug close to the nose, loose around the head. Or vice versa. I own maybe 7 different styled baklavas used for riding street bikes, dirtbikes, snowboarding, hunting etc. and this is probably my favorite. I only wish they would have made it come down about 3-4 more inches.

Balaclava
Fits loose. The pull string closer helps to get it tighter around the face and seems to work well. Will definitely fog up glasses. Not as thick as I expected. Should work well on cool mornings/evenings and under the hood of a coat. Not sure how warm it would keep a person in extreme cold weather. Neck portion is long enough that if it was slit about three inches it could be tucked into the front of a coat.

Soft, Warm, Comfortable
Have not yet worn the Balaclava Ski Mask. Therefore, the reason for only a four rating. Will try it out when it snows/weather is colder. However, what I do like about it is the softness, how it is made (like that the mask is removable) and the comfortable fit (as I did try it on).

Surprisingly well designed
I have a dozen really good balaclavas already so it takes a lot to impress me. This one did.The fleece is doubled (2 layers) over the chin and cheek area giving excellent protection on its own. But winter weather here can be variable and sometimes brutally cold so I was interested in how well this particular model worked with layers.I added a second Sealskin balaclava on top of it and the two lined up and worked together beautifully.Next I tried it with a technical shell with a hood and again, it worked perfectly - with or without the Sealskin on top.The trim is functional in offering additional wind protection but it also makes this particular model incompatible with a ski or snowboard helmet. The model without the trim might be ok but balaclavas designed to be worn under a helmet usually have thinner fleece on top. This weight could easily be too warm under a helmet.
